Reel Recommends – Terms of Service

We want these Terms to be simple, fair, and transparent. This document explains the agreement between you and This Is Reel Limited for your use of our advertising platform, Reel Recommends – Bromsgrove Edition. Please read them in full. The section summaries highlight key points, but the full text is the binding agreement.

1. Terms

By purchasing a listing or using any services provided by This Is Reel Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to comply with these Terms of Service (“Agreement”), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.

This Agreement is between you (“you”, “your”, “the Client”) and This Is Reel Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies are all eligible to sign up.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform. We may suspend or terminate any listing that breaches these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Reel Recommends is an online advertising and promotional platform designed to connect residents, visitors, and businesses within the Bromsgrove area.

When you join, we will:

Create a unique business page on our platform with copy written by us
Feature you in at least one social media post or story per month (either original or a repost)
Include you in the Bromsgrove Edition directory
Promote the platform and listings across our marketing channels at our discretion

Optional paid add-ons are available for featured placements or extra content.

3. Provision of Services

We will:

Produce your page content using information you provide or that’s publicly available
Use reasonable efforts to keep the platform running and promote it locally
Make updates and improvements to the platform at our discretion

We may temporarily suspend access for planned maintenance or circumstances beyond our control (e.g., technical issues, legal requirements, force majeure events).

4. Client Content

4.1 Responsibility
You are responsible for:

Providing accurate information, high-resolution logo, and any video links for your listing
Notifying us of changes (we’ll update within 48 working hours)
Ensuring your business complies with the law and holds required licences

4.2 Restrictions
You may not submit content that is:

Illegal, unlicensed, or infringing on others’ rights
Misleading, defamatory, obscene, or harmful to our brand
Adult or age-restricted in nature

4.3 Our Rights
We reserve the right to decline or remove any listing that:

Doesn’t meet our quality standards
Breaches these Terms
Could damage our reputation

5. Content & Intellectual Property

We own the intellectual property in the copy and content we create for your listing
You may reuse this content for your own marketing
By joining, you grant us permission to use your logo, images, and business details from your website or social media for promotion on our platform and channels
We will not use your content to promote other businesses without your permission

6. Privacy & Data

Any personal or business contact information you provide will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We may collect and store analytics about your listing’s performance, which we may share with you but are not obliged to publish.

7. ROI Guarantee

If after 12 months you believe you have not seen a return on your £250 investment:

You may request a full refund within 30 days after your term ends
No proof of ROI is required, but your listing must have remained active for the full 12 months
If you remove your listing early, the guarantee does not apply

8. Platform Use & Limitations

You agree not to:

Interfere with the operation of the platform
Misuse the platform for unlawful purposes
Attempt to copy or replicate the platform’s structure or design

9. Fees & Payment

Pre-launch annual fee: £250, payable upfront before your listing is created
This is a one-off payment (no auto-renew)
No VAT is charged currently but may be added in future
No late payment terms apply as listings are only created after payment

You pay £250 upfront for 12 months. No ongoing payments unless you buy add-ons.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for your listing. We are not responsible for any indirect loss, lost profits, or reputational damage.

11. Termination

We may remove your listing without refund if:

You breach these Terms
Your business is found to be unlawful or damaging to our reputation

You may request removal at any time, but no refund will be given and the ROI Guarantee will not apply.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. We’ll try to resolve disputes through mediation before court action.

13. Acceptance

By paying our invoice, you confirm you have read and agreed to these Terms. Inaction after receipt of the invoice will also count as acceptance.
